Below please find my course expectations as they are stated in my current Algebra 2 syllabus.

1.     Be prepared. The following items will be necessary for a successful class experience:
o   a sharpened pencil
o   your graph paper (iPad graph paper)
o   paper (iPad notes)
o   any homework due
o   your graphing calculator
o   your iPad with the Canvas web site and the etext app loaded

2.     Be professional. Treat your peers, class visitors and Ms. Holt with respect, keep your voice at a reasonable volume, and stop talking as soon as anyone, teacher, peer, etc., is addressing the class.

3.     Collaborate on task. If you need help, consider asking classmates before asking the teacher. If you “get it,” volunteer to help classmates. Conversations should directly relate to the day’s activities.

4.     Use your time wisely. Stay on task while in the classroom, and pack up only when the teacher says it’s time to go.

5.     Be an active part of our learning community. Volunteer to answer questions or show your work on the board, even if you’re not sure you’re right.

6.     Be responsible. Use your iPad the way it was intended: as an educational tool.

7.    Come to every class.  While Ms. Holt understands that life happens, it is imperative that students not miss class.

8.     Take Responsibility.  If there is a problem, take the initiative to ask Ms. Holt and your classmates.  For example, if a homework document posted on Canvas is not accessible, email a peer or Ms. Holt for help.
